The Ambassador: Chapter 3Chapter 3  Chris waved goodbye to Darian as he all but flew out the door of the bar.  He was dressed in his usual attire of plain black dress pants and a white button up shirt. His tan leather messenger bag was slung over his shoulder under his suede jacket. His boots pounded the ground as he ran to the embassy. The apple pie was clutched protectively in his arms. A few strands of dark brown hair had escaped the leather thong he used to hold his long hair back. It was almost to his elbows now.  The embassy wasn't too far from where Chris and Darian worked, only about five blocks. It was an easy run for Chris, not even enou The Ambassador: Chapter 3

You're luck it took me longer than expected to cook dinner."  Chris popped his head out of the kitchen and saw Darian for the first time. He frowned, taking in the damage and assessing his roommate's mood in less than a second.  "Set the table. I made lasagna…and for the looks of it, it's a good thing I made apple pie for dessert. You look like you need it."  Darian silently hung his leather jacket on a peg on the wall and trudged into the kitchen to get the plates and such. The Ambassador: Chapter 1Chapter 1  Darian sighed as he left the bar and restaurant where he worked. Sure, he'd have Chris's cooking waiting for him at the apartment, but he loved working. The boss always knew to call him first if there were additional hours open and he already worked more than any of the other employees. Bartending was just something he loved, like apples and talkative strangers. However, he also knew that he couldn't work forever and his stomach was getting agitated.  It was late as he walked back to where he and his roommate Chris shared an apartment; the streets were deserted except for the occasional drunk or cat. Since I first joined DeviantArt, I have been guilty of the 'fave and run'. I have repeatedly favorited works of art, pictures, drawings, paintings, stories, and other posts WITHOUT COMMENTING. For a long time, I have thought there to be nothing wrong with this and went on with my life feeling no remorse.

HOWEVER!

THIS IS WRONG!

As I have put up more stories of my own, I have come to see the value of comments to an artist. This is not to say that faves are bad, but comments just add that personal touch and give feedback for what to do better next time. Plus, you get a better understanding for what your readers want.

Because of this realization, I have decided to change my wicked ways! I apologize to all the artists I faves and ran. I will try to write comments on each artwork I favorite from now on!

PLEASE FORGIVE MY IGNORANCE!
